How do I know if I'm registered?

What is your refund or cancellation policy?

There will be no refund or cancellations allowed. Also, you may not transfer your race to the next year or any other year. We will work extremely hard to ensure that if bad weather presents itself, we will either postpone the race to later in the day or if the weather does not cooperate, we reserve the right to cancel for participants safety. 

Can I transfer my race number to another person?

Yes. Please email There will be a $10 fee. All transfers must take place before September 13, 2019.

Health & Training

Should I follow a training plan or is there any training plans for Wander the Water?

Depending on your goal, some sort of training is required! There are many different training plans. If you are looking for a training plan see the following link:

What aid/nutrition is available on the course?

Yes. We will have aid available on site. Water stations will be available every 3 miles.

Race Info

Where is Packet Pickup? If I am not able to make it to race Packet Pickup, what should I do?

Packet Pickup will be Friday night from 6pm-8pm at the 112 on Broadway. We will be set up right outside. You will be able to pick up your packet and t-shirt also the morning of from 6:00 am – 8:00 am before race start.

You may have a friend pick up your packet. We will just need to have a copy of the participants drivers license with their signature authorizing another party to pick up their packet.

Can I drive to the starting line and leave my car there? What can I do with my personal belongings?

Yes. There will be free parking available on site that can be accessed from the Bridge Avenue entrance. We will have a bag drop at the starting line with bags to write your bib number to ensure you are able to pick up your belongings after the race. We are not responsible for lost items.

Is there a course time limit?

The race will wrap up 4 hours after starting. Race start is scheduled for 8:30am. Wrap up will start at 12:30pm.

Are there Pace Teams?

Not this year.

Where can spectators park?

You may park anywhere along the race. Best places to cheer would be around Lakeview Park, Brookside School, Brookside landing, and also right off Broadway and the Pavillion. The B&B Cafe will be hosting a cheer station at New Denmark Park. All are welcome. Free coffee and sign making materials will be available.

I want to volunteer. Who do I contact?

We would LOVE any help! We will have aid stations volunteers, start/finish line volunteers, and many other opportunities! Please use the registration form here to send your information and our volunteer coordinator will be in touch with you.

I am a vendor. Will you have vendor booths?

Please email we are looking for people who want to promote healthy living in Albert Lea before and after the race!

I would like to donate money or items. Who should I contact?

Thank you for your generosity! Please email and we will send you the details for drop off or someone to pick up the items you wish to donate.
